Salina and Seve could not have picked a better day for their wine country wedding. The Palm Event Center is one of the BEST venues for wedding photography in Pleasanton – or the entire Bay Area for that matter! The day started off really quietly with the Bride and Groom getting ready at the Courtyard by Marriott in Pleasanton. The great part about wedding photography in Pleasanton is that everything takes no more than 10 minutes to drive to.

Perhaps the BEST aspect of the wedding was my relationship with the Bride – Salina. MANY years ago, we worked together at a fitness gym in San Jose. We worked the front desk together; I went into a “middle management” position; and Salina eventually transferred into sales. This was the same place where I re-met my wife and for these reasons, Salina and Seve’s wedding was really special to be a part of. With every wedding I shoot, I feel a certain connection with each of my Brides and Grooms and you can usually find a picture of them hanging in my office. Weddings provide such intimate feelings that I cannot help but feel like I have a real, genuine connection with the couples I photograph.

        

Getting Ready

It is always fun to capture getting ready pictures. These are moments of the day that the Bride and Groom will not get to see, of their spouse, until after the wedding. Capturing the nerves, laughter, and last minute preparations is always a lot of fun… 90% of the images I look to capture, on your wedding day, are genuine in-the-moment shots. I think what makes the Palm Event Center unique is the ambiance of their ceremony and reception spaces. Everything is candle lit and it makes for an intimate and romantic setting.

After the ceremony, things really picked up! The night was filled with dancing, heartfelt speeches, and it was a lot of fun 🙂
