Baby Shower – Toll House Hotel

Sabrina’s Outdoor Baby Shower at the Toll House Hotel

I’ve been to Los Gatos many-many-many times. For some reason, I never drove past the Los Gatos Spa to find the Toll House Hotel. It has a restaurant, beautiful hotel rooms (I’m assuming), and is a great venue for a baby shower 🙂  The only downside to this day was that it was EXTREMELY windy!

I was able to arrive at the beginning of the party to capture detail shots of the decorations and set up.

When I shoot events, I try to capture fun and natural images; and I do this by being a “fly on the wall” and remaining in the background. Unless you specifically ask for a posed shot, 90% of the images I look to capture are unposed.

Baby Shower Games

Of course, a baby shower wouldn’t be well… a baby shower, without some fun games! Everyone received a pink pin; and if you were overheard or coerced into saying the word “Baby,” you got your pin stolen.  The person with the most pins won a prize 🙂

There was also a fun game where you tried to guess the size of Sabrina’s baby bump. Her grandmother was the first one to guess and ended up being the closest guess. A lot of people were WAY off 🙂

At most of the events that I shoot, I never eat. There’s typically not a lot of time to sit down and I’m a really picky eater. Unless it’s sweets! If I were Superman, ice cream and candy would be my cryptonite.

It’s All About Family

One of the cool things that I enjoyed about Sabrina’s baby shower was her family. They had mentioned that it had been a long time since everyone got together; and she had some of her family fly in all the way from Oregon. Often times we get busy with work and LIFE and we rarely get opportunities to spend time with family. It’s one of the most important things. HINT-HINT: family portraits are also VERY important!

If your having an event, have all of your family in one place, and want some fun images – lets talk! The best way to reach out to me is through the contact form on my website. Thanks!
