Wedding at San Jose Country Club

Correy & Garrett’s Wedding at San Jose Country Club

San Jose Country Club holds a lot of fond memories for me! It was one of my very first jobs and the only time I had ever been on or near a golf course. Minus miniature golf – of course! So when Corey and Garrett reached out to me and told me that they were having their wedding at San Jose Country Club, I was SUPER excited 🙂

Every wedding is unique in one way or another; but C + G did something that I had never seen before. They had their official wedding ceremony during the day before walk through! It was a surprise to most everyone there. I think Corey’s dad, the officiant, and I were the only people to be in on it.

They actually had another unique part of their wedding – which was a cardboard cut out of one of the groomsmen who could not be at the wedding! This was VERY cool. Plus, he was a graduate of Penn State – where I am also an Alumni 😉 Extra points for that!

One of the best parts, for me as a Photographer, was that everything was on schedule and the timing of everything was perfect. We had enough time, before the ceremony, to get all 25 family portrait groupings. And we also captured some fun shots of the bridal party. C + G had 30 minutes to hide away, prepare for the ceremony, as guests started arriving.

The entire reception was fun, they had EXCELLENT appetizers for the cocktail hour; and we got some really great photos of their speeches, dances – and most importantly, candid moments with all of their guests.

If you are getting married, or even having your wedding at San Jose Country Club, I’d love to hear from you. We shoot 15-20 weddings each year and love meeting with couples and going over how we approach wedding photography. The very best way to reach me is through the contact form of my website.
