Lamborghini Huracan Exotic Car Photo Shoot

I wouldn’t classify myself as a “car photographer.” So when I was approached with the opportunity for a car photo shoot with a Lamborghini Huracan, I was a little nervous! It’s just a really nice car and you want your images to do it some justice. 

I Learned Something New

I like cars, but I really did not know too much about Lamborghini’s. Of course, I knew they were really fast and really expensive – but this was actually the first time that I was up close to one. When it pulled up, it was surprisingly quiet. I guess there are different driving modes which can make the car sound differently. We made sure to rev up the engine a few times – just to make sure! I also did not know that the doors did not go straight up! I thought that this was a signature look of EVERY Lamborghini. Again, I was wrong! Another interesting thing about the car was that it was really low to the ground. I’m not sure if anyone over six feet tall would be able to fit comfortably inside of one. I’m probably wrong on this one too 🙂

My Goal For The Session

My main goal for the session was to get some really cool shots of the car with my client; and to capture the aggressiveness of the car. Lucky for me, my client was really easy to work with and pulled off the “cool” look I was going for and this made it a lot easier for me. To capture the aggressiveness of the car, I wanted to get a really low perspective. Shooting from a higher perspective can sometimes give a passive feel to an image – as if you are looking down on the subject. And shooting up at the subject can give off an aggressive feel to an image – as if you are looking up to it.
