Outdoor Family Pictures in Morgan Hill | Rebecca & Zayden
It is always fun to connect with clients who you have previously taken maternity portraits with 🙂 I absolutely loved shooting Rebecca’s maternity portraits and it was a pleasure to meet her son and take pictures for his first birthday. Here are my four favorite poses from their outdoor family pictures in Morgan Hill (Almaden Lake Park).
Walking Shots
One of my favorite “poses” that I will start most sessions with are very simple walking shots. I like to get images that feel natural and unposed. Walking shots are a really great way to do this. Since Zayden was not quite walking yet, we had mommy pick him up as they walked.
A Little Toss and a Tickle
Tossing the baby up in the air is definitely one of my go-to poses! Most babies love to be thrown up in the air and it is a great way to get them smiling. At least 9 out of 10 babies will give a really big smile from being thrown in the air. If for some reason this does not work, a little tickle usually does the trick 🙂
Standing With a Little Help
A lot of the poses with toddlers depends on whether or not they can stand. One of the poses I really like to do is to have the baby hold mommy or daddy’s hands.
Leaning on Something
Another great pose for children is to have them stand by leaning on something. In this case, we used a wooden box and a fallen tree trunk for some adorable pictures of Baby Zayden 🙂
