Beach Maternity Shoot In Capitola | Stephanie & Bobby
There is something about the beach that makes for really great maternity portraits. Here are some of the images we captured of Stephanie & Bobby’s beach maternity shoot in Capitola.
Focusing on Your Baby Bump
I start off every maternity shoot the same way – with shots of just the baby bump. This gives me the opportunity to explain some of the posing that we will do throughout the session and to get my settings dialed in 😉 The two most common poses are with both your hands on the bottom of the baby bump, and your hands on the top and bottom.
A Walk On The Beach
A beach maternity shoot would not be a beach shoot without shots of you walking on the beach. I like to get shots that feel natural and unposed and this is a great way to do that. I like to back up really far to give you space to interact with each other as if I am not even there. Your session should be fun and a time to enjoy each other before the baby arrives. When you look back at the images from your session, I want you to remember how much fun you had – not any awkward poses that I put you in. I promise, it is easier than you think!
Outfit Changes
For a 60 minute session, there will be enough time for a quick outfit change. Make sure to let me know of your plans at the start of the session – so that we can coordinate being in an area of the venue where you can change 😉
If you are expecting an addition to your family, I would love to hear from you. The best way to reach out to me is through the contact form on my website. Thanks!
