Fun Family Pictures In Mountain View

One of the coolest things about being a Photographer is getting the opportunity to photograph maternity portraits with a couple and then connecting with them again for family portraits. I had a really fun session with Shirin, before the baby was born, and it was great seeing her for some fun family pictures in Mountain View (Shoreline Lake Park). Here are some of the pictures that we captured of their session and 3 tips on having a successful session with toddlers.fun family pictures in mountain view

If You Have Toddlers, Plan on Arriving Early

One of the things that I encourage all of my clients to do is to plan on arriving at least 10-15 minutes early for your session. If it is your first time at the location, you’ll want to make sure that you’re able to find parking and meet at the starting location in enough time. Toddlers are very unpredictable – so giving yourself a fifteen minute cushion is always a good idea!

Bring Snacks or Toys To Get  Their Attention

Depending on the time of the session, bringing a small snack for your toddler may be the difference between a happy and cranky baby! Giving them a quick snack towards the middle of the session may motivate them to keep smiling and having fun. Along with snacks, if your toddler has a toy that they really like, you can bring this along to get them looking in the direction of the camera. I’ll have a couple of other tricks on how to get their attention – but anything that you can bring will only help!

Personalize Your Session With Props

Incorporating one or two props is a really great way to personalize your session. If your toddler is turning ONE, getting something that commemorates this milestone is a really great idea.
