How often do you and your extended family get together? Hopefully often. But if you are like most families, this may only occur once a year – or even less. One of the most important things that you can fit into your schedule of events are family portraits! Most sessions last between 30 and 60 minutes and it is really fun and easy. I promise! Here are some of the fun family pictures in Los Gatos of Lucien and his extended family.

TIP: Make Plans After Your Session

One of the most useful tips that I can give families is to make plans for after the session. I believe that family portraits should be a celebration of you and your family. Taking pictures is a major part of it – but spending quality time, away from your phones or other distractions is equally important. And the fun does not have to end at the end of the session. Making plans for after the session is a great way to spend even more quality time with your family. Scheduling something like ice cream or your families favorite dinner spot is an excellent way to build excitement for the session. This works particularly well with young children. Very few parents want to admit it, but sometimes a little bribery goes a long way to gain cooperation from little ones. Adults too 🙂

One of the great things about sessions at Vasona Park is that there are built in activities that you can do right at the park. Vasona Park features two large playground structures, a miniature train, and a really fun carousel. It even has a snack bar if you get a little hungry 🙂
