Engagement Portraits at Vasona Park | Jade & Mike
Over the last year, I have really grown to enjoy shooting portraits at Vasona Park in Los Gatos. For first time clients, it is a really great location to shoot at. There are a ton of different backgrounds and you can get a variety of different looking images. Even for clients who I have previously worked with at Vasona Park โ there are enough places for two sessions ๐ Here are some of the fun and candid engagement portraits at Vasona Park of Jade & Mike. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding at the end of 2019!

Two Tips For Shooting Portraits at Vasona Park
Vasona Park is such a beautiful place for engagement portraits. Here are two helpful tips that may be useful ๐
1. Bring an Extra Pair of Shoes
Since engagement portraits typically take between 90 and 120 minutes, we will make use of the ENTIRE park. A VERY useful tip, if you plan on wearing heels, is to bring an extra pair of shoes to walk in. In my experience working with ladies who wear heels, there is a trade off when it comes to fashion and comfort-ability ๐ Usually the nicer looking the shoes, the more uncomfortable they are! So make sure to plan on bringing a second pair of shoes that you can quickly slip in and out of.
2. A Change of Clothes Is Okay
Since there are a few restrooms located throughout the park, bringing a second outfit to change into is perfectly fine. Most couples will wear one outfit that is a little dressier and another outfit that is a little more casual. Of course, you can stay in just one outfit โ but keep in mind that by changing outfits it gives you a larger variety of images. For example, you can use the dressier images to decorate your wedding reception or for save the dates; and you can use the more casual images to post online for social media or some other purpose.
Hopefully these are some useful tips for your very own engagement portraits. If you are engaged, planning to be, or just want to take pictures โ i would love to connect with you.
