Perhaps the easiest and most convenient place for lifestyle newborn portraits is in the living room. One of the things you do not need to stress too much about is tidying up the entire room 🙂 Most of the images are not cropped too wide and so as long as the immediate area is tidy, the pictures will be fine. One other thing to consider is that the lighting in your house can be supplemented so that there is enough light. If there is enough natural lighting – coming from a window, that’s great; otherwise, Photographers are always prepared with additional lighting to add to the room.

Fun Portraits In A Nursery Or Bedroom

Another really great place to take lifestyle newborn portraits is in the child’s nursery or a bedroom. Your child’s nursery is a really nice place for portraits because it shows off the area where your child spends so much of their time. One of my favorite poses on the bed is getting the child lying in front and having the rest of the family in the background. If you have more than one child, capturing really cute images of them with their new sibling is a must!
