One Year Portraits In Los Gatos | Jamie
Surviving the first year of parenthood is quite the accomplishment! You’ve adjusted to sleepless nights, changing diapers, and have mastered the art of baby talk. The next thing to do is to celebrate. By taking pictures! Here are some of the fun, candid one year portraits in Los Gatos of Jamie and her family. And some cute ideas that you can incorporate into your own one year portraits.
Bring Colorful Balloons
A really simple and easy idea to make the session cute is to bring some colorful balloons. The balloons add color to the images and most babies really love them 🙂 When the balloons are not being used in the images, they are also a really great to use to get the baby’s attention.
Create A Custom Shirt
Another really good idea for one year portrait sessions is to create a custom t-shirt. There are literally hundreds of different options that you can choose from. And a great resource is Etsy. You can choose a specific theme that goes with the balloons or other props you choose to bring.
Bring Toys That The Baby Likes To Play With
Getting your child smiling and having fun is the main objective of one year portraits. A sure fire way to do this is to bring some toys that the baby enjoys playing with. When you look back at this time in their life, including these toys will be that much more sentimental. Jamie chose to bring his favorite Radio Flier and some stuffed animals. Both really great toys that we were able to add to the session.
Schedule The Session At Least Two Weeks Before Their Birthday
Scheduling their session at least a couple weeks before their actual birthday is really important. This will give you enough time to make prints of the images and use them for various purposes. If you are planning a party, you can use some of the images to decorate. And you can also have some really nice images to post on social media on their actual birthday.
Hopefully these are some useful tips that you can use for your very own session. If your child is turning one soon, I’d love to connect with you. The best way to reach out to me is through the contact form on my website. Thanks!
