Selecting a location for your maternity portraits can be a little hard to do. Deciding on whether you want to take them at the beach or in a park, etc. can be a hard decision. One of my favorite maternity portrait locations happens to be Stanford University. Here are some of the images of Rehaan’s session. As well as three reasons why I like to shoot at Stanford University.
The Architecture Makes For Great Images
Outside of some of the brightest minds in the country, Stanford University is know for its incredible architecture. I love shooting sessions here because there are so many hallways and arches that frame couples so beautifully. Images taken here have a completely different look than a beach or a park. And this may be something that you’d like to have in your images.
The Weather Is Not A Factor
Another great aspect of shooting a session at Stanford University is that you can take pictures here even when it is raining. Stanford’s campus is made up of a bunch of hallways that make for great pictures. I like to use the hallways even when the weather is great. But in the case that it does start to rain, the outdoor hallways allow us to keep shooting.
There Are A Lot Of Different Backgrounds To Shoot At
Lastly, another great feature of Stanford is that there are dozens of different backgrounds. Not only do they have the hallways and doorways that frame couples, there are also grassy areas, trees, water fountains, etc. Having a diversity of backgrounds is great for portraits 🙂
Hopefully these examples give you an idea of different maternity portrait locations. If you are expecting a baby soon, I would love to connect with you. The best way to reach me is through the contact form on my website. Thanks!
