Three Wedding Ceremony Tips

Three Wedding Ceremony Tips – From A Photographer’s Perspective

three wedding ceremony tips

Your wedding ceremony is perhaps the most important part of your wedding day. Each wedding ceremony is different than the next. And after your ceremony, the day seems to go by in warp speed! Here are three wedding ceremony tips – from the perspective of a Photographer.

If You Are Nervous, Just Smile 🙂

Whether you think so or not, you are going to be at least a LITTLE nervous on your wedding day. One of the tips I give couples is to make sure to smile. People tend to make really funny faces when they are nervous 🙂 If you find yourself feeling nervous or anxious, just remember to smile. When you get your wedding images back, you don’t want half of them of you making weird faces! So smile 🙂

Take Your Time Coming Down The Aisle

Secondly, make sure to take your time coming down the aisle. Depending on the shoes you are wearing, you may not have a choice! By taking your time coming down the aisle, this gives the Photographer the chance to capture a bunch of images of this special part of the ceremony. I encourage couples to even pause for two to three seconds when they reach the part of the aisle where the chairs meet. This gives everyone the chance to see you and to make eye contact with your partner. It is also very dramatic – if you like that kind of thing! Just as long as you do not come speed walking down the aisle, you should be good 😉

Hold Your First Kiss

Last, but certainly not least, make sure to hold your first kiss. Kissing your partner for the first time seals the deal on becoming an official married couple. Holding your kiss gives everyone the chance to clap and cheer. And from a Photographer’s perspective, it gives them the opportunity to snap a few perfect photos of the first kiss.

Hopefully these three wedding ceremony tips are useful. If you follow these three simple rules, it will ensure that you receive a bunch of really great images. Of course, if you are looking for a wedding Photographer, I would love to connect. The best way to reach out to me is through the contact form on my website. Thanks!
