Studio Portraits In San Jose

Studio Portraits In San Jose | Kourtney & Imani

Studio portraits have a very clean look to them and are great for many different applications. There are not too many options for studio portraits in San Jose – but I am lucky to be able to have a studio space to take them! Here are some examples of Kourtney & Imani’s studio session – for the second season of their podcast. As well as three instances when studio portraits are better than outdoor portraits.

Studio Portraits Are Great For Social Media

One of the best uses of studio portraits are for social media. Kourtney & Imani are beginning their second season of their podcast and wanted updated portraits. With the popularity of social media, professional studio portraits can set you apart from other people. This is especially the case for small businesses. Having a variety of different poses – some candid, and some more posed, is great to be able to use on multiple platforms. For example, candid and playful images are great for Instagram and more posed images can be used for LinkeIn. I also suggest changing outfits for even more of a variety of images 😉

The Most Common Use of Studio Portraits: Headshots

Perhaps the most common use of studio portraits are for headshots. Headshots taken in the studio are great for people looking for a clean background. The lighting for these types of images are really great; and many people prefer these over outdoor headshots. If you work for a company, there is a good chance that everyone else’s headshots were also taken with a solid white background. One thing to also keep in mind is that the background for these images can also be swapped out for another color. For example, if you needed to match a specific color – this can typically be done for an additional fee. I recommend mentioning this to your Photographer before the start of the session – so that they can plan accordingly.

Studio Portraits Are Also Great If The Weather Is Bad

Last but not least, studio portraits are great for times of the year when the weather is unpredictable. For sessions that cannot be rescheduled, this is a great back up plan to be able to have. For family portraits including children that are five years or younger, I recommend outdoor portraits. In my experience, younger children are most comfortable when there is a lot of space.
