Maternity Portraits At Martial Cottle Park

Maternity Portraits At Martial Cottle Park In San Jose | Kim & Daniel

Being a parent for the last five years, I love meeting couples who are expecting their first child ๐Ÿ™‚ It brings me back to when I was in their shoes; and it allows me to share some of my veteran parent knowledge! Just kidding โ€“ Iโ€™m still figuring things out as I go myself! But here are some of the fun and candid maternity portraits at Martial Cottle Park of Kim & Daniel. As well as four things I like to do when taking maternity portraits.

I Like Asking Questions

One of the things I like to do the most, for maternity portrait sessions, is to ask questions. In my experience, asking questions โ€“ and having you answer them is a GREAT way to get natural images. Most importantly, I like to ask questions to give you and your partner the opportunity to express how you are feeling. Yes โ€“ maternity portraits are an opportunity to capture an important moment in your life. But it is also an opportunity to celebrate with you and your partner.

I Like Giving You Space To Interact

Another thing I like to do is to give you and your partner a little space. When you have space, you feel more comfortable in front of the camera. One of the best ways to do this is by getting walking shots. These shots are candid and easy โ€“ just like a walk in the park ๐Ÿ˜‰

I Also Like Getting Shots With Something In The Foreground

A great way to create interesting images is by having something in the foreground of the image. It gives the look-and-feel of an intimate moment between you and your partner ๐Ÿ™‚ Almost like I am peeking in on a moment between you and your partner ๐Ÿ™‚

A Few Shots Of You Looking At The Camera

While most of the shots I look to capture are candid moments โ€“ I also like to get a few shots where you are looking at the camera.

If you are interested in scheduling maternity portraits, I would love to connect. The best way to reach out to me is through a quick email ([email protected]) or through the contact form on my website. Thanks!
