Family portraits are one of the best activities you can do as a family. With all of the hustle-and-bustle that goes on in our everyday lives, family portraits are easy to forget. I recommend scheduling family portraits at least once a year. And also at milestones in the lives of you and your family. Leading Up To A Birthday

As you get older, birthday’s may seem less-and-less important. Especially when you have kids – and the focus is mostly on them. I recommend scheduling family portraits as a small way to celebrate turning one year older – regardless of how old you are turning. Celebrating children’s birthday’s, each year, is pretty much required. But it doesn’t just have to be for them 🙂 Scheduling family portraits and going to lunch or dinner afterwards is an excellent way to celebrate.

Before The Holidays

The most popular time of the year for family portraits is around the Holiday’s. At this time of the year, family is all in town. The trees have beautiful orange, yellow, and red colors on them. And everyone wants to have nice pictures to send out to friends and family 🙂 I recommend taking family portraits before the “Holiday rush.” Scheduling family portraits a month or so before the Holidays will ensure you can find a date and time that works for your schedule. And you will not be in a rush to send out Holiday cards 😉

When Family Is In Town

Another great time to schedule family portraits is anytime when family comes into town. Many families take these opportunities for granted – and before you know it, the demographics of your family has changed. Taking family portraits with your extended family may take a little coordination – but it is something you will NEVER regret.

Of course, you do not need a specific reason to take family portraits! If there is a weekend where you do not have too many events on the calendar, this is a great option 🙂
