Carmel is one of the most beautiful places to have a wedding in California. And there are a ton of wedding venues in Carmel to choose from. And I was glad to have the opportunity to shoot a wedding at Wedgewood Carmel. Here are some of the images we captured and some of the best features of this beautiful venue.

It Can Support Any Size Wedding

One of the things I liked the most about Wedgewood Carmel is that it can accommodate any size wedding. There are several different options to choose from on where to hold your ceremony and reception. For the wedding I shot, they were able to have their ceremony in the outdoor garden area. And they had their reception in one of the medium sized banquet rooms.

Depending on your preference, you can choose from three different ceremony locations. And there are a couple of different sized banquet halls to choose from as well. If you are looking for flexibility, it is good to know that you have several options.

You Have Up To 5 Hours For The Ceremony and Reception

One of the other features of all Wedgewood wedding locations is that they last a total of 5 hours. In my experience, this is a relatively short amount of time for a wedding. However, many couples can make this work. For smaller weddings, this may be the perfect amount of time – but larger weddings may want to plan something casual afterwards. For example, if everyone is staying at a nearby hotel – you can schedule an informal “after party.”

Another thing to consider is that there will be limited time to take all of your formal portraits with your family, bridal party, and of you and your partner. One of the things I recommend is scheduling a first look so that most or all of the formal portraits can be taken before the ceremony. For weddings with a fast timeline, this will save you 45-60 minutes 😉

There Are Beautiful Places To Take Portraits

Last but not least, there are a lot of places for portraits. As I mentioned before, it is a good idea to take portraits before the ceremony. This will enable you to get the most out of the five hours you’ll be given at the venue. If you are able to schedule some of these portraits at the venue, there are a handful of great places for portraits 🙂
