How Long Do Studio Headshots Take? | Damika
When it comes to headshots, it is important to know the different types of headshots. There are outdoor headshots, studio headshots, and what I call lifestyle headshots. Each can serve a different purpose โ but today we will take a quick look at studio headshots. And help answer the question of โHow long do studio headshots take,โ and some other options you have with like changing the backgrounds.
Studio Headshots Are Quicker Than You May Think
The great thing about studio headshots is that it is a really quick process. Since the lighting is consistent and easy to set up, it only takes about 10 minutes! I like to get three different angles (straight on, angled left, angled right) to make sure all of our bases are covered. Depending on the use of the headshot, your company may prefer everyone to be facing in the same direction. Or you may also have a side that you prefer the most ๐
Consider Changing Outfits or Wearing Glasses
If you want to take a set of images with a different outfit, or with glasses โ this will add a little extra time. But in my experience, it is worth it. Having a variety of different outfits will ensure you can use your headshots for multiple purposes. For example, you can take one in a suit coat and another in more of a business casual outfit.
The Background Can Be Changed
Another thing to keep in mind is that we can swap out the background in some of the images. My studio has a solid white backdrop โ but we can extract you from this for an extra charge. This can come in handy if your company would like all of their headshots done on a grey background, for example. And the great thing about this is that you cannot tell that the background has been switched ๐
