The Top Three Things To Bring To Your Maternity Portrait Session
If you are expecting an addition to your family, maternity portraits are a great way to document this time. I like capturing fun and candid images of you and your family, rather than overly posed images. Keeping an open mind is important. As well as making sure that you show up prepared ๐ Here are my top three things to bring to your maternity portrait session โ so that you are well prepared.
Comfortable Shoes To Walk In
One of the main things I recommend bringing to your session are comfortable shoes. Depending on the location of your session, there may be a little walking involved. If for some reason you are not comfortable walking a certain distance, make sure to communicate this with your Photographer. This is especially the case, if you plan on wearing heels. Having a pair of flats or flip flops that can be used to walk to and from spots comes in handy.
Outfit Accessories and Props
Another thing I really like are outfit accessories like flower crowns. These have become really popular in the last couple of years. And I think they make for a great addition to your outfit. Not all of the images have to be taken with them, but I really like the look of them in some of the images.
Along with accessories, including a couple of simple props are also recommended. The props can be used in a variety of ways. And it allows for a handful of cute poses. The one thing I caution against is going overboard with props ๐ 2-3 props is about all you need.
Bring Water In Between Poses
Last but not least, make sure to bring some water. Towards the end of your pregnancy, getting tired and thirsty easily is common. So that you are comfortable throughout the session, I recommend bringing along a little water to sip in between poses.
Hopefully these three things to bring to your maternity portrait session have been helpful ๐ If you are expecting an addition to your family, I would love to connect with you. The best way to reach me is through a quick email or through my contact form. Thanks!
