Jaclyn + Brandon’s Rustic Wedding
When it comes to wedding photography in Hollister, there are a lot of places to choose from. The Fox Creek Ranch is a hidden gym among many wedding venues in Hollister. It has a lot of charm, a ton of space, and is a perfect venue for a rustic wedding. Prior to shooting Jaclyn and Brandon’s wedding, I had the opportunity of shooting Jaclyn’s sister’s wedding. One of the things that I like about shooting weddings is the instant bond you feel with the couple you are working with. Spending 8 or more hours with someone, and sharing in the happiest time in their life, just does that.
Details Matter
I LOVE getting a lot of detail shots. I’m not sure if there is any other wedding venues in Hollister that can boast a bull’s skull as part of their decor 🙂 Getting shots of this with the wedding shoes immediately came to mind.
Capturing a Creative Wedding Narrative
One of my jobs, as your wedding Photographer, is to tell the story of your wedding day through my images that I create. This is probably my main job – now that I think of it 🙂
Going into a wedding, I like to keep a clear mind on some of the creative ways to tell this story. Some of the ways I look to do this is by either 1. framing the couple, 2. adding elements to the foreground of the image (to create a sense of spying on them), 3. getting reflections, or 4. capturing light flares – through the sun or an external light.
There were so many angles and perspectives to shoot at. Whenever I can, I really like setting up multiple cameras and triggering them remotely.
