Capturing Things You Do Normally At Your Home
For in home family portraits, I like to capture things you normally do at home. Whether it is playing games, drinking coffee in the kitchen, or hanging out in the backyard. Capturing these fun and candid moments is the main difference between portraits at a park and portraits at your home 😉
I Like To Use Multiple Areas Throughout The House
Similar to how I approach sessions at an outdoor location, I like to take pictures in multiple areas. For example, the living room, a bedroom, and the backyard. Wendy and her family had a lot of great locations within their house that made for excellent settings. I also really loved getting fun images of everyone gardening and picking apples 🙂

We’ll Mix In Some “Traditional” Portraits As Well
Although most of the pictures we capture will be candid moments, we will also get a few “traditional” shots. The best place for these shots are shaded areas in the front or back of the house or inside in the living room. If there are extended family members that also live in the household, they are more than welcome to be included in some images 😉
