Aida’s After Ceremony Wedding Portraits At The Rose Garden

After Ceremony Wedding Portraits At The Rose Garden

One of my favorite places to take portraits at is the Rose Garden in San Jose. Here are some of the after ceremony wedding portraits at the Rose Garden of Aida. As well as three things to consider when taking pictures at the Rose Garden.

A Photo Permit is Required (Technically)

One of the first things to keep in mind is that the Rose Garden does require a photo permit to be purchased. Nine times out of ten, this is not enforced. However, it is something to consider. If this policy is actually enforced, the good thing is that there is another great location down the road that we could use as a back up plan 😉

The Best Time For Outdoor Wedding Portraits is in The Evening

In terms of lighting, the best time to take outdoor portraits is always going to be in the evening. This is especially the case for after ceremony wedding portraits at the Rose Garden because there is not a lot of shade. In the evening, the sun is low in the sky which creates soft and flattering lighting – which is great for portraits! If you are able to coordinate your portraits, about an hour before the sun sets, this is the ideal time for portraits 🙂

The Rose Garden is Popular For Photographs

Lastly, you will also want to consider that the Rose Garden is a popular place for photographs and in general. Depending on the time of the year, it is one of the most popular place for High School prom portraits. And it is also a popular destination for people to visit in the spring. If there are a lot of people at the garden, it will take a little more coordination to take pictures at a particular spot at the garden. And there may be people walking in-and-out of the background 😉

If you are looking for a great place for wedding portraits, the Rose Garden is a good location to consider. Thanks!
