One of the unique things that California is known for are our redwood trees. They are beautiful and make for an awesome backdrop for weddings. There are a few locations throughout the Bay Area. But the best wedding location with redwood trees near San Jose is Sanborn County Park in Saratoga. Great For Small, Intimate Wedding Ceremonies

Sanborn County Park is a really nice location; however, the main ceremony location can hold up to about 50 people. This is great for small, intimate weddings – but may not work well for larger weddings. If you are absolutely set on this location, is a larger platform area that can hold even more people. I recommend visiting the location to take a look to see if it will fit the type of wedding you envision.

Perhaps the main reason why Sanborn County Park is the best wedding location with redwood trees near San Jose are all of the great backgrounds for wedding portraits. The trees block out a lot of the sun and create soft and flattering lighting throughout the park. Some of the locations require you to walk a little ways off of the cement trails. So I recommend bringing a pair of walking shoes to get from spot-to-spot.

But There Is Little To No Cell Phone Coverage

Another thing to consider is that there is little to no cell phone coverage throughout the park. In terms of planning a wedding, providing your guests with details on how to get to the park, where to park is important. On the weekends, you can also anticipate a little traffic coming into the park. Make sure to reiterate to guests that arriving 10-20 minutes before the ceremony is recommended. Also, if you plan on capturing your wedding ceremony on Zoom, you may not be able to do so.
