Happy couple portraits are a great way to celebrate you and your partners relationship. If someone is celebrating a birthday or if you have an upcoming anniversary, this is the perfect time to schedule portraits. Here are some images from a recent happy couple portraits at Stanford University. As well as three tips to keep in mind when scheduling portraits at Stanford University ๐Ÿ˜‰

Plan on Arriving at Least 15-20 Minutes Before The Session

First things first, plan on arriving early to your session. I recommend arriving to your happy couple portraits at Stanford at least 15 minutes early. This will give you enough time to find parking and walk to the meeting spot for the start of the session.

If your session is scheduled on a weekday, the main parking areas will be reserved for students. However, there are a few visitor parking lots. If your session is scheduled on a weekend, this is also one of the busiest times for the campus. Keep in mind that Stanford University may have sporting events or other activities that will make it hard to navigate parking. Make sure to touch base with your Photographer so that they can recommend where to park and meet for the start of the session.

If You Plan on Wearing Heels, Bring a Second Pair of Shoes To Walk In

Stanford University has a lot of great backgrounds that require a little walking to get to. If you plan on wearing heels, I recommend bringing a second pair of shoes to walk in. In my experience, the nicest looking shoes are often the most uncomfortable ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep Things Fun and Candid, Not Overly Posed

Last but not least, I recommend keeping things fun and candid. In my experience, most couples feel the most comfortable posing for these types of images. I recommend thoroughly looking through your Photographers portfolio. Keep in mind that the images on your Photographers website will be similar to the types of images they will take for your session. For example, if you prefer candid images but your Photographers website showcases more posed and staged photos, this may not be a good fit.

Hopefully these quick tips have been helpful in planning your own happy couple session ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!
