Fun Outdoor Portraits
One of the questions that I often get is, “what are some good places for our session?” Or something along those lines 🙂 There are a few REALLY nice places in San Jose, and I always recommend taking portraits at Hellyer Park. It’s pretty easy to access, is a really big park (so there are not a ton of people around when we take pictures); and it has water, nice trees, grass, etc.
What Makes a Good Photo?
Yes, family portraits at Hellyer Park are great because of the location. But I believe the most important aspect of a “good photo,” are the people. Their reactions. And how it makes you feel when you see it. When I capture images of children, I aim to get playful and fun images to really bring out their personalities.
What Do You Want to Remember About This Time in Your Life?
This is a question that I solicit from each of my family portrait clients. Pretty much all of my clients, with small children, want to remember the personality of their child. They want to freeze this moment in time because they realize how quick kids grow up. And they want to enjoy spending time with their family. And so this is what I try and do.
Family portrait sessions are about capturing fun moments of your family, but it is also time you get to be around family. With busy work schedules and not enough time in the day, MANY people take this for granted… I encourage clients to do something fun after the session as well. This works really well for kids because it gives them something to look forward to after the session. But it also allows you to spend quality time with your family. This is important.
I believe that everyone has moments of their lives that they want to look back at and remember. When life moments come up, one of the first things people do is look at images and videos that were captured with their loved ones. I want to help you capture these moments 🙂
