Kimberline & Garrett’s Wedding at the Santa Clara Clerks Office
I recently had the wonderful opportunity to take portraits of Kim and Garrett’s wedding at the Santa Clara Clerks Office. Over the last few wedding seasons, I have photographed a handful of weddings here and it is a really great option. The ceremony lasts about 10 minutes, there is enough space for 20 or so guests, and the ceremony location is PERFECT in terms of lighting 🙂
Family Portraits After The Ceremony
The great thing about having your wedding at the Santa Clara County Clerks Office is that there are a couple of great locations for family portraits after the ceremony. Since each ceremony lasts a total of 10 minutes, there is only enough time for a few groups of posed pictures inside of the chapel.
Elopements last around 90-120 minutes and so we had enough time to take portraits at the nearby Rose Garden and Egyptian Museum. One thing to keep in mind is that the Rose Garden requires a photography permit to take any type of professional portraits. Sometimes they enforce this, and sometimes they do not… the Egyptian Museum does not require a permit and is a GREAT location for portraits after the ceremony.
Bride and Groom Portraits
When posing couples, I like to capture images that feel natural and unposed. Getting the two of you interacting, walking, IN LOVE is my main goal. Most people are not comfortable in front of the camera and so I try to get my couples doing things that come natural to them.
If you are planning a wedding at the Santa Clara Clerks Office – or any other venue, I would love to hear from you! The best way to reach out to me is through the contact form on my website. Thanks!
