Pregnancy Announcement Portraits | Elizabeth
Expecting your first child is one of the most exciting moments in a couple’s lives. I had the wonderful opportunity to not only take the pregnancy announcement portraits, but I was also the one to make sure the correct confetti shooter was given. That’s a lot of pressure! I got it right though 🙂
A Reminder of Why I LOVE Being a Photographer
Being a full time Photographer and running my own business is the hardest thing I have ever done! I learn something new from each set of clients I get the opportunity to photograph. And I am constantly refining my process to be the best I can be. And it’s not easy… the reason I chose to quit my previous full time job and jump into doing photography full time is because of the people and the experiences I get to capture.
I get to photograph a bunch of cool things. From weddings, to maternity portraits, to family portraits – I just really love the positive moments I get to capture. This day was particularly interesting. My first session was a memorial service for a lady who lived to be 100 years old! This was only the 2nd memorial service I have photographed. I’m used to capturing tears of joy and happiness so the memorial service was almost opposite in a lot of ways. The stories that were shared were really beautiful; and although I had never met the lady who was being remembered, I felt like I had a glimpse into what seemed like a beautiful life.
Several hours later in the day, I got to experience an almost completely opposite session. Moments of reflection and sadness were replaced with nervousness and excitement as the couple found out the sex of their child. The experiences of the day just reiterated the reason why I enjoy being a Photographer!
If you have a special moment that you want photographed, I would LOVE to hear from you. The best way to reach me is through the contact form on my website. Thanks!
