Headshot Photography in San Jose | Deloitte
Everyone should have a professional headshot! It is one of the easiest ways to set yourself apart. More and more companies and customers are looking at your professional profile prior to doing business with you. A really simple and easy way to put your “best foot forward,” is to have updated headshots. Here are some examples of headshot photography in San Jose with some of Deloitte’s employees.
Your Headshot is Not A Mug Shot or An Employee Badge Picture
Your headshot is not a mug shot or an employee badge picture! They are actually very different 🙂 Your headshots should give off a confident and approachable feel to it; with an expression that is similar to one you would give when shaking hands with a person you’re meeting for the first time.
Your Headshots Can Be Used For Many Purposes
The great thing about your headshots is that they can be used for a lot of different purposes. The most obvious place for them would be on Social Media websites such as LinkedIn and Facebook. But they can also be used on email signatures, business cards, and on your company’s about me section. Whether you like it or not, people often “Google,” you to see if they can learn a little more about you. Having a really nice and professional headshot that show up in these searches is a good way to show your professionalism.
Your Expression, Not Your Outfit Matters The Most
The important thing to consider, regarding your headshots, is that your expression is what matters the most. In the 2-3 seconds that someone may glance at your headshots, they will first look at your eyes and your expression. General work attire will work fine; and it is recommended that you wear something that does not have a lot of patterns and lines. Because this can be a little distracting to the viewer. Headshots can be taken on a white background, inside, or outside. I often times will cut the subject out of the background and place them on a solid white background or an altogether background 🙂 Just like your outfit, your headshots are less about the background than your expression.
