Fun Family Pictures in San Jose | Heather
There are a handful of really great portrait locations in the San Jose area. One of my favorite places is Bernal Ranch Park. It has a cool rustic look – with a couple of large white barns, golden colored grass, and wooden fencing. Here are some of the fun family pictures in San Jose of Heather’s family. Also, two quick tips on taking pictures with children 🙂
How To Photograph Children
A question that I often ask parents is, “what do you want to remember most about this time of your life?” I get many different answers – but one of the most common responses is regarding the personality of their children. How their kids are getting bigger-and-bigger and how they want to capture these moments before they get too big. The answer to this question, is what we want to capture in the images we take.
Capture Their Personality: The best advice that I would give is to capture your child’s personality. Very few kids will be able to just stare at the camera and smile for more than a few minutes! Letting your kids be themselves and capturing fun and candid images is really important. There will most likely come a point where you will not be able to pick them up and put them on top of your shoulders. Or to spin them around. I want the images that we take to capture this fun time of your life.
Get Pictures of Each Parent With Each Child: One of the things that I like to do is to make sure to get all of the different combinations of family members. For families of 3, the combinations are pretty straight forward: all three people, the kid by themselves, each parent with the child, and (of course) just the parents! Getting a variety of different groupings is a great idea for future uses of the images. For example, on Father’s Day, you can use the image of Dad and his baby girl for a cute gift. As the father of a beautiful baby girl myself, I know how important these images are.
