The first moments of bringing your child home are just PRECIOUS! Capturing these moments is one of the best ways that you can remember this special time. Traditional newborn portraits can take a REALLY long time and can be stressful. Rather than shoot in this style, I prefer what is called Lifestyle Newborn Portraits. Here are some of the lifestyle newborn portraits in San Jose of Vishnu and his family. As well as some three of my favorite poses from Vishnu’s session.

Kissing The Baby As They Sleep

One of the most important things to consider is that the best images of the baby are when they are asleep. When they are just born, they cannot really see too far and they end up making really funny faces. As the baby gets older, there will be plenty of moments that we can photograph of them awake 😉 One of my favorite sleeping poses is of them sleeping on their back and Mom & Dad giving them a kiss.

Glancing At The Baby As You Hold Them

There will eventually come a time when your baby will grow, get bigger, and you won’t be able to hold them. This may be several years off, but holding them when they are newly born is a really cool moment to capture. If the baby has Grandparents or other family members who would like to be included in the session – they are more than welcome! The more the merrier 😉

Lying Down With The Baby

Another pose that I really liked from Vishnu’s session were images of them lying down with the baby. Getting down at the level of the baby makes a really cool image 🙂
