Fun Family Portraits In Mountain View

Fun Family Portraits In Mountain View | Denise

If nothing else, I believe that family portraits should be FUN! Yes, we will take a bunch of nice portraits. But there is something to be said about spending quality time with your family. Here are some of the fun family portraits in Mountain View of Denise and her family. And three tips on how to get the most out of your family portraits.

Schedule A Fun Activity After Your Session

One of the biggest tips I can give is to schedule something fun after the session. Giving everyone something to look forward to works really great for kids. Promising to go to their favorite restaurant or to grab dessert is a really good incentive. It also works well for adults 🙂 Along these same lines, scheduling something fun, after the session, adds to the amount of quality time you spend with your family.

Let Loose And Have Fun

Capturing everyone’s personality is something that I think is really important in family portraits. I prefer fun and candid images over stiff, overly posed shots 🙂 But this requires that everyone lets loose and is willing to have fun. Some of my favorite fun poses are piggy back rides, and jumping shots! As long as no one gets hurt, these are great ways to capture fun portraits.

Share Something Interesting or Funny About Your Family

Last but not least, another one of my favorite things to do is to have you tell me something interesting or funny about your family. I find that when I ask people questions about the people they are taking pictures with, this creates genuine smiles and reactions! It also gets everyone to focus on each other, not the camera. I like capturing a good amount of pictures where everyone is interacting with each other – as if the camera is not there 🙂
