Maternity Pictures At Stanford

Arun’s Maternity Pictures At Stanford

maternity pictures at stanford

Stanford University is one of my favorite places for maternity portraits. It is a historical Bay Area location and there are a lot of really beautiful places on campus to take portraits. Here are some of the fun and candid maternity pictures at Stanford taken during Arun’s recent session. As well as 3 ways I capture creative maternity portraits.

Have Something Interesting In The Foreground

One of the ways I like to create interesting images is by placing things in the foreground of the image. Depending on where the picture is being taken, this can be a bush, the edge of a wall, or pretty much anything! Having something in the foreground enhances the candid feel of an image. And it is almost as if you are peeking in at a romantic moment between the couple. As much as possible, I like to create images like these 🙂

Add A Little Light

Another way to capture creative maternity portraits is to add some lighting to the images. One of the most common ways I like to do this is by putting a light behind the couple. The burst of light is usually enough to add flare to an image; and it is much more interesting than an image without it 🙂

Frame The Couple

Last but not least, I also like to use things that frame the couple. One of the great things about taking maternity pictures at Stanford is that there are many great arches that you can use. This is perhaps my favorite part of taking pictures at Stanford. Door frames, and other natural objects can be great for this as well 🙂

There are many ways you can capture fun and creative maternity portraits – but hopefully these can help give you a few ideas. If you are looking to take maternity portraits, I would love to connect with you. The best way to reach me is through a quick email or through the contact form on my website.
