2021 Wedding Planning Tips | 4 Things To Consider
Due to all of the changes caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, 2021 will be the busiest wedding season in years. For me, I was able to shoot one wedding on March 14th and then nearly all of my 2020 weddings were postponed until next year. Here are four 2021 wedding planning tips for couples to consider.
You May Not Be Able To Take Your Time Planning
One of the first things to consider, for couples planning a 2021 wedding, is that wedding venues and vendors will be VERY busy. If you are planning an average size or large wedding – you may have to speed up your planning. Not only will venues and vendors be busy with couples getting engaged in 2020 and married in 2021 – but many couples who planned their wedding for 2020 will be moving their wedding to 2021 as well. This will result in a limited amount of wedding dates for all couples. If you have vendors that you really want to work with, I recommend touching bases with them as soon as possible to see which dates they still have available. And the same goes for wedding venues.
Consider A Friday Wedding
Some of the most popular days of the week to get married on are Saturday and Sunday. Naturally, these dates will be taken up first – but I would strongly consider looking at a Friday wedding date. Not only will a lot of venues have these dates available – but many vendors will also. I highly recommend being open to Friday’s if you have specific venues and vendors in mind for your wedding date.
Also Consider Your Guests Schedules And Get Your Save The Dates Out As Soon As Possible
Another thing to consider is that many of your guests may be busy traveling to other weddings as well. 2021 will not only be a busy year for couples planning weddings – but for wedding guests as well. For guests who may not be able to plan travelling to four, five, or six weddings in the span of a couple of months – it is important to get your wedding date on their calendars.
One of the things you can do is to plan engagement portraits – so that they can be used for save the date invitations. The earlier you get these out, the better 😉
Hire A Wedding Planner
One of the ways to ensure everything goes smoothly is to hire a Wedding Planner. Wedding Planners have an abundance of knowledge planning weddings and this will be extremely useful. Not only will Wedding Planners be able to help you navigate the busy 2021 wedding season. But they will also take a lot of stress off of your plate. 2021 will be a busy year for weddings – but it should not take away from having a positive wedding experience.
