Katie’s Pregnancy Photos At Vasona Park In Los Gatos
I believe that the best photos are ones that feel natural and unposed. This is especially the case with children. But it is also very true when it comes to working with adults. When you and your family are simply having fun and enjoying each other’s company – great photos are created. Here are some of the fun and candid pregnancy photos at Vasona Park of Katie and her family. As well as how we created a fun session for Katie’s son.
Start Off The Session With Simple And Fun Poses
When working with children, I like to start the session off with simple and fun poses. This gets children in the mindset that we are there to have fun. And the focus goes away from just taking pictures.
One of my go-to poses are walking shots 🙂 I particularly like Vasona Park because of the railroad tracks. For one, kids are really fascinated with railroad tracks. And secondly, I like to use the tracks for balancing shots with kids and their parents.
Build Excitement As We Go To Different Areas
During your session, there are usually 4 or 5 spots we will go to. As we walk from one spot to the next, I like to build the excitement with children. For example, I will tell them that we age going to see a giant rock. Or I will let them know that the next place has some really cool water and maybe even ducks. In my experience, keeping kids engaged and into the session is important.
Climb, Jump, Dance – Have Fun!
Last but not least, it is always a good idea to just let children have fun. If there are opportunities for kids to climb, jump, or dance – these make for great photo opportunities. There is going to come a point in time when children grow out of this stage and capturing this moment in time is priceless!
