By far, the busiest days of the week for Photographers are on the weekends. Most people have the weekends off of work. Kids are out of school. And there is a little time to get things done on the weekend. While weekends are great, here are three reasons why you should consider booking maternity portraits on a weekday.

There Are Less People At Your Location During The Week

One of the biggest benefits of booking maternity portraits on a weekday is that there are less people around. In my experience, most clients feel more comfortable when there are less people around. Some of the poses will be of you and your partner sharing intimate moments and this can cause some people to be shy 🙂 I personally hate when I am taking pictures and there are a lot of onlookers!

Depending on the venue, another benefit is that there will be a lot of parking. Which can make it a little easier to get around.

Your Photographer Will Have More Availability During The Week

Another reason to consider scheduling maternity portraits on a weekday is that there will most likely be more available time to schedule your session. One of the most popular times of the day to schedule maternity portraits is in the evening. And these are the first times that become unavailable on the weekend. There are up to 8 times a month where clients can schedule there session during “golden hour.” But there are up to over 20 times during the week where a session can be scheduled at this time of day. While other times of the day will still be OK, the best time to take outdoor portraits is always going to be right before the sun sets. It’s Fun To Do Things During The Week

Last but not least, taking maternity portraits on a weekday is a great way to do something fun during the week. Monday’s thru Friday’s can be a little monotonous . Scheduling a fun activity can make the week go by a little faster 🙂
